Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Strengthening the city’s infrastructure and furthering a series of developmental initiatives, the Faridkot Improvement Trust today dedicated a deluxe public toilet complex-equipped with modern amenities-to the public at Baba Farid Market. This new project was formally inaugurated by the local MLA, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon, who cut the ceremonial ribbon. The Chairman of the Improvement Trust, S. Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal, was notably present during the event.
Major Relief for Shopkeepers and Customers:
For a long time, shopkeepers in the market and visiting customers had felt the lack of adequate restroom facilities. Addressing the gathering, MLA Sekhon stated that robust infrastructure is an absolute prerequisite for the progress of any city. Constructed at a cost of approximately ₹2 lakh, this facility will be available to the public completely free of charge. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government remains fully committed to the beautification of cities and the provision of public amenities.
