Kotkapura Police Strike Big: Robber Who Snatched Bike at Swordpoint Apprehended Within Hours
Faridkot/ Kotkapura (Alexander D’Souza): The Faridkot Police have geared up to take a firm stand against crime and criminals. Acting on the strict directives of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, the police force of the Kotkapura Sadar Police Station has successfully solved a major robbery case within just a few hours, apprehending one of the accused individuals. The police have also recovered the stolen motorcycle from the accused’s possession.
Brief Details of the Incident:
The incident occurred on March 22, when a man named Nirmal Singh was traveling from Kotkapura to his native village, Baggeana. Near the village of Kot Sukhia, at the canal bridge, he was intercepted by three armed robbers. At the point of a sword, the robbers intimidated and threatened Nirmal Singh before snatching his wallet and his Splendor motorcycle, after which they fled the scene.
Police’s Swift Action and Arrest:
Considering the gravity of the matter, special teams were constituted under the leadership of SP (Investigation) Jogeshwar Singh Goraya and DSP Sanjeev Kumar. The police laid a trap and, during a roadblock (Naka) operation on the National Highway (Deviwala Road), intercepted a suspect.
Arrested Accused: Komaldeep Singh alias Sunny (Resident of Basti Kot Sukhia).
Recovery: The Splendor motorcycle stolen during the incident.
Search for Absconding Accomplices Continues:
According to police officials, the identities of the two other accused individuals involved in this robbery have been established. Raids are currently being conducted to apprehend them. The arrested accused has been produced before a court and taken into police remand to facilitate further interrogation regarding other criminal incidents that may have occurred in the region.
