Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Faridkot Police has achieved a major breakthrough as part of its ongoing campaign against criminals. Under the able leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain (IPS), the police have busted a dangerous inter-district vehicle theft gang, arresting four of its members. The police successfully recovered 10 motorcycles stolen from various locations from the possession of the accused.
Details of the Arrested Accused
The apprehended individuals are seasoned criminals who had been actively committing crimes for a long time:
Kulwinder Singh alias Bacchi (20), resident of Kotkapura.
Sajan (20), resident of Kotkapura.
Sagar Kumar (28), resident of Kotkapura.
Ramandeep Singh alias Raman (28), resident of Lambi (Sri Muktsar Sahib).
The Full Story of the Operation: Action Conducted in Three Phases
Under the supervision of SP (Investigation) Jogeshwar Singh and DSP Tarlochan Singh, a team led by Rajwant Singh, the SHO of City Police Station Faridkot, executed this operation:
1. First Breakthrough: On March 26, ASI Gurpal Singh apprehended Kulwinder Singh and Ramandeep Raman near the Veerwala Canal while they were in possession of a stolen Platina motorcycle.
2. Production Warrant from Jail: During interrogation, the name of the accused Sajan surfaced; he was already lodged in jail in connection with another case. The police brought him in on a production warrant, and acting on the information provided by him, two additional motorcycles were recovered.
3. Arrest at Dana Mandi: On March 29, the fourth member of the gang, Sagar Kumar, was arrested at the Dana Mandi (Grain Market) in Faridkot while in possession of a stolen motorcycle.
Modus Operandi: How Did They Execute Their Crimes? According to the police investigation, Kulwinder and Sajan primarily engaged in the theft of motorcycles. Subsequently, Sagar Kumar assumed the responsibility of reselling and disposing of these stolen vehicles.

Criminal Record and Legal Action:
The history of these accused individuals is extremely alarming. A total of 17 cases involving theft and robbery have already been registered against them across various police stations. In the latest instance, FIR No. 147 has been registered at the City Police Station, Faridkot, under Sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the IPC.
