Faridkot, May 8 (Alexander D’Souza): Dedicated to the selfless love, sacrifice, and devotion of mothers, the festival of ‘Mother’s Day’ was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and deep emotion by the Kindergarten Wing of Baba Farid Public School. Held at the Baba Farid Auditorium, this grand and colorful event saw little children express their reverence for their mothers through their artistic talents.
On this special occasion, Mrs. Rajpal Kaur Sekhon graced the event as the Chief Guest. She was joined by distinguished guests, including Mrs. Veena Rani (EuroKids), Mrs. Annaya Arora (Disney World), and Mrs. Harleen Kaur.
Cultural Programs Captivate the Audience:
The program commenced with a spectacular ‘Welcome Dance’ presented by the students of UKG (Rose Section). Following this, the young children presented heart-touching choreography set to popular film songs such as “Teri Ungli Pakadkar Chala,” “Janam Janam O Maa,” and “Aisi Hoti Hai Maa.” Watching the emotional performances of these little artists, the eyes of the mothers present in the auditorium welled up with tears.
Highlights of the Event: The main attractions of the event were the ‘Mother-Child Ramp Walk’ and a series of fun-filled games, in which mother-child duos participated with great zeal, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere.
Emphasis on 100% Participation:
Upholding its cherished tradition, the school management ensured 100% participation from the children in this event. The school firmly believes that performing on stage boosts children’s self-confidence and fosters their holistic personality development.
The Mother is the First Teacher: Principal
Addressing the gathering, School Principal Sukhdeep Kaur stated that a mother is the world’s first teacher and guide; honoring her constitutes the highest form of worship. The primary objective of such events is to sow the seeds of moral values ​​and cultural ethos within the children. Meanwhile, Vice Principal Harsimran Kaur lauded the hard work of the teachers and students. She remarked that it is impossible to encapsulate a mother’s sacrifice in words; it can only be felt.
At the conclusion of the program, parents appreciated the school’s efforts and captured these memorable moments of their children on camera.
