Faridkot Soars High in Education: Girls Excel in Class 8 Results; Chief Minister Honors Achievers…

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): The Faridkot district has scripted history in the Class 8 results declared by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). The district’s daughters have not only established their dominance in the merit list but have also brought glory to the district across all of Punjab by securing two of the top three positions in the state.
Faridkot’s ‘Dominance’ in the Merit List:
The most significant achievement of this year’s results is that a record 19 students from the Faridkot district have secured a place in the merit list. This figure is the highest compared to all other districts in Punjab, serving as a testament to the district’s superior standard of education.
A Magnificent Achievement: Tamanna Emerges as State Topper
Two female students from the district have secured top positions through their sheer hard work:
First Place: Tamanna, a student of Saraswati Senior Secondary School (Jaito), topped the entire state of Punjab by securing a perfect score of 600 out of 600 marks.
Third Place: A student from Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School (Kot Sukhia) secured the third position in the state by obtaining 598 marks.

Taking cognizance of the success of these promising young women, Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann and his wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Mann, specially met with these students. While honoring the students, the Chief Minister wished them a bright future and remarked that this represents the new face of ‘Rangla Punjab’ (Vibrant Punjab).

Faridkot Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur, congratulated the students, their parents, and their teachers on this magnificent achievement.
