Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): As it does every year, ‘Sahara Parivar’-an organization dedicated to the service of humanity—has once again planned to undertake a deeply humble and noble deed this year. A special foot march is being organized to carry the ashes of 34 unclaimed and unidentified souls, whose last rites were performed by the organization in the year 2025 with utmost reverence and dignity.
By participating in this social initiative, fulfill your duty towards humanity and become a recipient of spiritual merit.
Program Details:
Date: April 3, 2026 (Friday)
Start of Foot March: 4:25 PM (Time for the immersion of ashes into the water, commencing from Shri Ram Bagh: 5:15 PM).
Venue: Gurudwara Green Avenue (Canal).
Designated March Route:
Starting from Shri Ram Bagh, the march will proceed through Nehru Shopping Center, Bhai Ghanaiya Chowk, Ghanta Ghar Chowk, Thandi Sadak (Hukki Wala Chowk), Jubilee Cinema Chowk, Sethi Dairy Chowk, and College Road, eventually traversing Chahal Road to conclude at Gurudwara Green Avenue.
All devotees are requested to join this foot march in large numbers so that a respectful final farewell may be accorded to the departed souls.
