‘AAP’ leader Amit Jain Jugnu launches scathing attack on the Centre: ‘BJP government has completely failed on the issues of inflation and unemployment’

-The government that promised ‘Achhe Din’ (Good Days) should abandon propaganda and provide employment to the youth and fair crop prices to farmers: Jugnu
-Aam Aadmi Party also raises serious questions regarding the weak foreign policy and escalating tensions with neighboring countries…
Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Amit Jain Jugnu has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government at the Centre, stating that the continuously rising inflation and unemployment in the country have made life miserable for the common man. He alleged that the central government has proven to be a complete failure in resolving basic issues concerning the public.
Kitchen budgets disrupted; essentials slipping out of the common man’s reach
In a strongly worded statement issued to the press, ‘AAP’ leader Amit Jain Jugnu said that essential items—such as LPG cylinders, petrol and diesel, cooking oil, pulses, vegetables, and children’s education—are becoming unaffordable for the common man. He noted that while the BJP had made grand promises of ushering in ‘Achhe Din’, the reality today is starkly different. The country’s middle class and poor sections are reeling under the burden of relentless inflation, and their household budgets have been completely disrupted.
“Government busy with propaganda; youth and farmers in distress”:
Questioning the Centre’s priorities, Jugnu stated that instead of addressing people’s fundamental problems, the government is preoccupied solely with propaganda and advertisements. Every section of society is currently in distress:
Youth: Educated young people across the country are forced to wander from pillar to post in search of employment.
Farmers: Those who feed the nation are taking to the streets and suffering mental anguish over the issue of fair prices (MSP) for their crops.
Traders: Small and medium-scale traders are bearing the brunt of a persistent economic slowdown. Serious questions raised regarding the Central Government’s foreign policy
Amit Jain Jugnu took the Central Government to task over its foreign policy, alongside domestic issues. He remarked that there is a glaring lack of clarity in the strategies of a government that makes grand claims on the global stage.
He further stated that escalating tensions with neighboring countries and sensitive issues concerning the safety of Indian citizens abroad have cast serious doubts on the government’s foreign policy. The true objective of foreign policy should be to enhance the nation’s prestige and strengthen national security, rather than merely burnishing one’s political image.
‘AAP’ demands reduction in taxes and prices
An Aam Aadmi Party leader demanded that the Central Government rise above political calculations and electoral gains to provide immediate relief to the public. He primarily raised the following demands:
Immediate reduction of the heavy taxes levied on petrol and diesel.
Relief for ordinary homemakers by lowering the prices of LPG cylinders.
Strict, nationwide action against the hoarding and black marketing of essential commodities.
The public will give a befitting reply through democratic means: Jugnu
Issuing a stern warning to the government, the ‘AAP’ leader stated that in a democracy, the government is accountable to the people; it is not a monarchy. If the Central Government fails to take concrete and positive steps in time to address ground-level issues like inflation, unemployment, and economic insecurity, the people of the country are fully prepared to deliver a befitting democratic response to this authoritarianism and failure in the near future.
