Jalandhar (Alexander D’Souza): The Punjab State Minority Commission has adopted a stern stance regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred at the residence of Gurdyal in the Mitthu Basti area of Jalandhar. A crucial emergency meeting was convened at the Commission’s office today to investigate the matter. This high-level meeting was presided over by the Honorable Chairman of the Punjab State Minority Commission, Sh. Jatinder Masih Gaurav.
Police Officials Appear Before the Commission
The aggrieved family was also present during the Commission’s inquiry meeting. Given the gravity of the situation, DSP Atish Bhatia and SHO Jai Inder Singh appeared before the Commission. The police officials shared details regarding the sequence of events and the actions taken so far with the Chairman.
Chairman Irked by Police Laxity: “Delay in Justice Will Not Be Tolerated”
While reviewing the case, Chairman Sh. Jatinder Masih Gaurav expressed strong displeasure over the police’s sluggish approach. Reprimanding the police officials present, he made it clear that there would be no compromise regarding the rights of minorities or the delivery of justice at any level.

Prompt Action: Instructions have been issued to the police administration to take strict legal action against the guilty parties without delay.
Immediate Report: The Chairman ordered the police officials to submit a detailed progress report on all actions taken so far to the Commission immediately.
Assurance to the Victim: The Chairman offered condolences to the aggrieved family and assured them that the Commission would ensure they receive justice, come what may.
