Special Camp to be Organized in Faridkot on May 10th for the Convenience of Persons with Disabilities: On-the-Spot Access to Facilities Including UDID Cards and Pensions… 


Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): A massive documentation camp is being organized in Faridkot on May 10, 2026 (Sunday), by the ‘Louis Braille Welfare Association for the Blind, Jalandhar’-an organization dedicated to the welfare of persons with disabilities and the visually impaired. This marks the organization’s 24th special camp, with the primary objective of sparing persons with disabilities the hassle of having to wander from place to place to access government facilities and essential documents.
Camp Details:
Date: May 10, 2026 (Sunday).
Time: 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Venue: Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital/College, OPD Gate, near Sadak Chowk, Faridkot.
These Facilities Will Be Available Under One Roof:
Association President Vikrant Datta informed that medical experts, data entry operators, and teams dedicated to Aadhaar card services will be present at the camp. The following services will be provided on the spot:
Disability Certificates: On-site issuance of disability certificates for individuals with visual, hearing, mental, or physical (orthopedic) impairments, following medical check-ups and X-rays.
UDID Cards: Registration for the Unique Disability ID (UDID).
Railway Concessions: Facilities for obtaining Railway E-cards and concession certificates.
Aadhaar Cards: Issuance of new Aadhaar cards or corrections to existing cards (regarding name, address, date of birth, etc.).
Government Schemes: Issuance of cards for the ‘Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme’ (covering medical treatment up to ₹10 lakhs) and assistance with filling out pension application forms.
Essential Documents (Do Not Forget to Bring):
Beneficiaries are advised to bring photocopies of their original documents along with the originals:
For Aadhaar/Pension Services: Birth Certificate, Bank Passbook, Passport-sized Photographs, and Voter ID Card. For Railway Cards: Two photocopies of the Aadhaar Card, two copies of the Disability Certificate, a PAN Card, and three photographs.
Health Insurance: Identity cards and mobile numbers of two family members.
For Minors: In the case of children under the age of 18, a joint account with their parents—along with the parents’ identity cards—is mandatory.
