An experienced and senior IAS officer of the 2007 batch, Ms. Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar, officially assumed charge today as the Divisional Commissioner of Faridkot. Upon her arrival at the office, she was accorded a respectful salute and a ‘Guard of Honour’ by a contingent of the Punjab Police. Present on this occasion were other senior administrative officials, including Faridkot Deputy Commissioner Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur and SDM Mr. Puneet Sharma.
Administrative Priorities: Transparency and Public Interest Paramount:
Immediately after assuming charge, while interacting with the media, Ms. Brar outlined her working methodology and priorities. She emphasized that the primary objective of the administration is to ensure that the benefits of the government’s public welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
