Faridkot Police Strike a Major Blow:

-High-Tech Drug Network Operating via Snapchat Busted—-
Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Under the ongoing ‘War on Drugs’ campaign in Punjab, the Faridkot Police have achieved a significant breakthrough. The police have arrested three traffickers while dismantling an international-level drug smuggling network that was being operated through the social media app, Snapchat. 200 grams of heroin have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
Ludhiana-based Traffickers Apprehended During Checkpoint Operation:
Acting under the directives of SSP Faridkot, Dr. Pragya Jain, a team led by SP (Investigation) Mr. Jogeshwar Singh Goraya and DSP Mr. Iqbal Singh established a special checkpoint near Village Dod, situated on the Faridkot-Bathinda border. During this operation, three suspicious youths riding a motorcycle were intercepted. Upon searching them, a consignment of narcotics was recovered from their possession.
Identification of the Arrested Accused:
Anand Kumar Pandey (Resident of Ludhiana), Ajay Kumar (Resident of Ludhiana),
Nikhil Kumar (Resident of Ludhiana).
Details of Recoveries:
Heroin: 200 grams; Electronic Gadgets: 02 Mobile Phones;
Other Items: 01 Digital Scale (for weighing) and 01 Motorcycle.
Snapchat: The ‘Digital Weapon’ Used to Evade Police

Further Action and Remand:
A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Bajakhana Police Station. The police are now seeking the remand of the accused in order to trace the full extent of this network’s connections and to ascertain the source from which this consignment of heroin was procured.
SSP Dr. Pragya Jain has appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in the fight against drug traffickers and to immediately report any suspicious activity.
