Central Government Promoting Communalism to Divert Attention from Inflation, Unemployment, and Drugs: Lawrence Chaudhary

-Central government policies sharply criticized at the Christian National Front’s district-level meeting; Shera Masih appointed as Chief Advisor for Punjab…
Makhu/Ferozepur (Alexander D’Souza): A significant district-level delegation meeting of the Christian National Front (CNF) was held in the village of Vinjoke, located in the Zira constituency. Lawrence Chaudhary, the organization’s National President—who attended the meeting specifically for this occasion—launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government. He stated that the country is currently grappling with grave issues such as inflation, unemployment, and drug abuse; however, the government is deliberately fanning the flames of communalism to divert the public’s attention away from these failures.
Threat Looming Over the Constitution and Democracy:
While addressing the meeting, Lawrence Chaudhary highlighted the following points:
Babasaheb’s Vision: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar granted equal rights to all citizens through the Constitution; however, today, atrocities against Dalits and minorities have escalated in BJP-ruled states.
Assault on Secularism: Secularism is being stifled within the country.
Political Power: Echoing the words of Babasaheb, he asserted, “Political power is the master key that makes the solution to every problem possible”; therefore, the Bahujan society must now take the reins of power into its own hands.
New Appointments and Key Demands within the Organization:
During the meeting, several key appointments were made to strengthen the organization: Shera Masih – Chief Advisor, Punjab.
Bishop Sukhdev Masih – Senior Vice Chairman, Religious Wing (Punjab).
Iqbal Masih – District President, Moga.
The meeting also featured in-depth discussions regarding the pressing issues facing the Christian community, with key topics including land for cemeteries, reservations, children’s education, employment opportunities, housing for the homeless, and the security challenges currently confronting churches. Appeal for Unity to Preserve ‘Punjabiyat’:
Calling for the ousting of Punjab’s traditional political parties from power, Chaudhary asserted that parties sharing a common ideology must unite on a single platform to safeguard Punjab, the Punjabi people, and the spirit of ‘Punjabiyat.’
On this occasion, several prominent leaders—including Pastor Tarsem Sanglan, Pastor Kulwant, Tarsem Hans, Pastor Gura Masih, Pastor Peepal Masih, and Daud Sonu—expressed their views and pledged to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level.
