Faridkot, April 7 (Alexander D’Souza): With the objective of strengthening law and order in the district and instilling fear in the minds of anti-social elements, the Faridkot Police is on full alert. Today, under the leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain (IPS), the police conducted a special search and checking operation at local railway stations. During this operation, stringent security arrangements were observed, and technological tools were also utilized.
Security Perimeter-Surveillance at Every Step:
During the operation, anti-sabotage teams and dog squads conducted a thorough search of every section of the railway station premises. In coordination with the GRP (Government Railway Police), police teams inspected platforms, waiting rooms, and areas surrounding the tracks to ensure there was no scope for any untoward incident.
Intensive Checking of Passengers and Luggage:
The police meticulously checked passengers present at the station as well as their luggage.
Identity Verification: Individuals appearing suspicious were stopped, questioned, and their identities were verified.
Restriction on Unnecessary Movement: The SSP clarified that the police are keeping a particularly sharp watch on anyone loitering at the station without a valid reason.
High-Tech Checking: Utilization of the ‘Vahan App’
Taking security to the next level, the police also inspected vehicles parked in the parking lots.
Instant Verification: The registration numbers of suspicious vehicles parked in the lot were scanned using the ‘Vahan App’.
Objective: The ownership details and documentation of the vehicles were verified on the spot to detect stolen vehicles or those parked illegally. “The safety of the public is our utmost priority. The primary objective of this operation is to instill a sense of security among common citizens and to send a strong message to mischievous elements.
