Faridkot: Amit Sharma Secures Resounding Victory; Elected President of ‘District Press Club’ for Second Consecutive Term,

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): A significant district-level meeting of the District Press Club (Print Media), Faridkot, was held on Tuesday at the meeting hall of Gill Sweet House. Presided over by the Club’s Chairman, Jaswant Singh Purba, the meeting saw the electoral process conducted in a completely democratic manner. During the proceedings, Amit Sharma registered a victory by securing an overwhelming majority against his rivals. Amit Sharma has been re-elected as the District President for the upcoming two-year term.
Decision Reached Through Voting:
A formal voting process for the post of President was conducted in the presence of the Club’s members. While announcing the election results, Chairman Jaswant Singh Purba noted that Amit Sharma had received the full support of the journalistic community. Congratulating the newly appointed President, he expressed hope that Sharma would continue to work with unwavering dedication towards addressing the problems and safeguarding the interests of journalists in the future as well.

Expressing his gratitude to the journalists present following his victory, Amit Sharma stated, “I am deeply grateful to all my colleagues for placing their trust in me once again. This is not merely a personal victory for me, but a triumph of the unity of the entire journalistic community. I pledge to work with complete sincerity towards the strengthening and betterment of the Club.”
