Slogan of ‘Long Live Love’ Resounds from Faridkot’s Eidgah;
-Prayers Offered for Global Peace—
Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Touching the sacred soil of Faridkot-hallowed by the footsteps of Baba Farid Ji-Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated today as a symbol of traditional devotion and mutual brotherhood. During a special program organized by the Muslim Welfare Society at the Eidgah located on the Local Circular Road, hundreds of Muslim brethren offered prayers (Namaz). Simultaneously, amidst chants of ‘Mohabbat Zindabad’ (Long Live Love), supplications were made to the Almighty for peace and harmony across the entire world.
Political and Social Dignitaries Extend Greetings:
Prominent figures of the city attended this auspicious occasion, demonstrating their solidarity and unity.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Gurditt Singh Sekhon extended his Eid greetings, stating that the fasting observed prior to Eid guides us toward the path of patience and spiritual purification. He appealed for people to live together in harmony so that the country and the world may progress.
District Congress President Navdeep Singh Babbu Brar, recalling the cherished traditions of his late father, Avtar Singh Brar, remarked that in today’s times, it is imperative to respect all religions and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with one another.
A Message of Peace Amidst Times of War:
Addressing the gathering, Dilawar Hussain, President of the Muslim Welfare Society, along with Hafiz Zahid, stated that at a time when many parts of the world are gripped by internecine conflicts, this message of love and humanity—emanating from the soil of Faridkot—will serve as a guiding light for all of humanity.

A large number of social activists and local residents were present on this occasion, including Prof. Dalbir Singh, Parveen Kala, Gurjit Dhillon, Dr. Uzzair Qureshi, Iqbal Khan, Munna Qureshi, Rashid Miya, Munna Hanish, Ashok Bhatnagar, Dr. Baljit Sharma, and Israel Khan.
