Faridkot, May 5 (Alexander D’Souza): Adopting a tough stance against active criminals in the city, the Faridkot Police have successfully solved a major theft case in a mere few hours. The police have apprehended the accused-who committed the theft by breaking through the roof of a shop located on Mall Road-along with the stolen goods.
Skilled Leadership and Swift Action:
This success was achieved under the skilled leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain and the guidance of SP (Investigation) Mr. Jogeshwar Singh Goraya. Given the gravity of the incident, the police immediately deployed a network of technical inputs and human intelligence sources, resulting in the accused now being behind bars.
What is the Full Case?
DSP (Sub-Division) Mr. Tarlochan Singh provided the following details during a press conference:
Time of Incident: Midnight between May 1 and May 2.
Modus Operandi: An unidentified individual gained entry into a mobile store located on Mall Road by breaking through its roof.
Identification of the Accused: Deepak Singh alias Deepu, a resident of Dashmesh Nagar, Faridkot.
Details of Recoveries
Police teams have recovered all the stolen items from the accused, which include:-
1. 02 LED TVs
2. 05 Mobile Phones
Legal Action and Remand:
Case No. 217 has been registered against the accused at Police Station City Faridkot under Sections 331(4) and 305(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The DSP stated that the accused is being produced before the Honorable Court to be taken into police remand, in order to facilitate interrogation regarding other criminal incidents and the potential involvement of a criminal gang. “The teams from the PCR and City Police Station, Faridkot, have played a commendable role in cracking this case. The Faridkot Police remain committed to the safety and security of citizens, and anti-social elements will not be spared under any circumstances.”
