Faridkot Police Avert Major Disaster; Risk Their Lives to Save the City During Gas Leakage Incident

Faridkot/Jaito (Alexander D’Souza): Thanks to the prompt action and presence of mind displayed by the Punjab Police, a potentially catastrophic gas leakage incident was averted in the Faridkot district. Under the leadership of Faridkot SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, police teams brought the situation under control without wasting any time; in recognition of this feat, the concerned officers and the vehicle’s driver were specially honored today.
How the Disaster Was Averted—A Minute-by-Minute Account:
Upon receiving information regarding the gas leakage, and recognizing the gravity of the situation, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain personally took charge of the operation. Acting on her directives, DSP (Jaito) Mr. Iqbal Singh immediately rushed to the scene along with a police force.
Containment and Security: To prevent any loss of life or property, the police immediately evacuated the area within a 2-kilometer radius of the incident site and diverted traffic to alternative routes. Coordination: With the assistance of the Control Room and utilizing the wireless communication system, the Road Safety Force (SSF), Fire Brigade, and ambulances were swiftly deployed to the location.
Working with Disregard for Personal Safety: DSP Jaito and his team, working in tandem with the vehicle’s driver, Hadish Ali, successfully shut off the valves of 40 leaking gas cylinders, thereby averting a massive explosion.
