A Sacrifice for Humanity: A Flood of Faith Sweeps Through Faridkot and Kotkapura,
-‘Crucifixion Walk’ Comes to Life:

Faridkot/ Kotkapura (Alexander D’Souza): On the holy occasion of Good Friday, the Christian communities of Faridkot and Kotkapura organized a grand ‘Crucifixion Walk’ to commemorate the unparalleled sacrifice and sufferings of Lord Jesus Christ. Gathering in their thousands, devotees paid homage to the Lord’s selflessness with tear-filled eyes, spreading a message of peace and brotherhood.
Faridkot: Children’s Tableaux Bring a 2,025-Year-Old Scene to Life
At St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Faridkot, a special ‘Sleebi Yatra’ (Procession of the Cross) was held under the guidance of Father Sivanos.
Remembering the Sacrifice: Balvir Masih, President of the Parish Church Council, stated that this walk serves as a reminder of how Jesus Christ surrendered Himself upon the cross to liberate all of humanity from sin.
Special Attraction: Tableaux presented by the church’s children vividly recreated the historical scene of the Crucifixion, leaving everyone deeply moved.
Women’s Leadership: Baldina Teja, President of the ‘Mariam Sena’ (Army of Mary), and her team led the procession. The journey commenced at St. Mary’s School, proceeded via the ‘Sat Number Chungi’ intersection, and concluded back at the church, where devotees pledged to lead a holy life.
Kotkapura: An Appeal to Walk the Path of Forgiveness and Love
In Kotkapura, a ‘Sleebi Yatra’ was organized by St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, commencing from Harino Road under the leadership of Father John Teja.
A Message of Peace: The keynote speaker, Father John Teja, shed light on the boundless love of the Lord. Meanwhile, social activist Anupratap Singh Brar remarked that Good Friday inspires us to set aside mutual animosity and walk the path of forgiveness and brotherhood. Collective Participation: Advocate Samuel Masih noted that hundreds of devotees experienced the sufferings of the Lord through various tableaux and offered collective prayers for world peace.
