Faridkot Receives the Gift of 3 New ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): As part of the Punjab government’s campaign to strengthen healthcare services at the grassroots level, three new ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ were inaugurated today within the Faridkot Assembly constituency. Faridkot MLA S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon participated prominently in the virtual inauguration ceremony, which saw the simultaneous opening of 109 new clinics across the state.
These Areas to Benefit Directly:
MLA Sekhon explained that the opening of these new clinics will directly benefit several densely populated areas of the city. Primarily, residents of the following localities will no longer have to make arduous trips to distant hospitals:
Dogar Basti, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Brar Enclave, Sai Kalev, and Kakkar Colony.
Healthcare Revolution: Over 3 Crore People Have Already Benefited
Addressing the gathering, MLA S. Sekhon stated that these clinics provide patients with free medical treatment, free diagnostic tests, and free medicines. He also shared some key statistics and upcoming targets:
Total Clinics in Punjab: Approximately 990.
Total Beneficiaries (Last Year): Over 3 crore patients.
Upcoming Goal: Launching even more new clinics by the festival of Baisakhi.
“The Punjab government’s objective is to deliver excellent healthcare facilities to every village and every household. The ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ are proving to be a milestone in this direction, bringing immense relief to poor and needy families,” remarked MLA S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon.
