Lord Buddha Charitable Trust Fully Dedicated to Social Service: Dr. Harpal Singh

-‘Social service performed without any self-interest is the best form of service and a source of peace of mind’…
Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Social service undertaken with a selfless spirit and without ulterior motives brings great peace of mind and mental satisfaction. Those who get the opportunity to engage in social service are fortunate and rich in good deeds. Social service, in whatever form it is performed, is always worthy of praise.
These views were expressed today by Dr. Harpal Singh (resident of Guru Nanak Colony), the newly appointed District Chairman of the Lord Buddha Charitable Trust (LBCT) and a retired Chief Pharmacy Officer, while speaking to journalists here.
Trust Committed to Service for Three Decades:
Dr. Harpal Singh stated that the Lord Buddha Charitable Trust is an organization in the district entirely dedicated to the welfare of humanity. Shedding light on the organization’s history, he noted:
Inception: The foundation of this organization was laid about three decades ago by its Founder Chairman, Jagdish Rai Dhosiwal, in Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Continuity: Since then, the Trust has remained continuously active in public welfare initiatives.
New Team: The recently constituted District Executive Committee—formed unanimously—includes only those members who are dedicated to social service.
“Social service not only provides mental satisfaction but also fosters mutual love, brotherhood, and a spirit of cooperation among people. This service plays a crucial role in reducing poverty, illiteracy, and inequality across society”: Dr. Harpal Singh, District Chairman.
New Units to be Formed Soon at the Tehsil Level:
Providing further details to the press, the Trust’s Assistant Press Secretary, Shiv Nath Dardi, announced that new units would soon be established at the Tehsil level across the district to make the Trust’s activities more effective and dynamic. Hardworking members with a clean and positive social image will be inducted into these units to ensure that service initiatives reach every needy person at the grassroots level.
