Outrage flares against Mann government policies; Joint Front sounds the bugle for a decisive battle,

– A warning letter to the Chief Minister via the Deputy Commissioner on June 19, and the announcement of dates to gherao (besiege) AAP MLAs during the district convention on June 20…
Faridkot, June 10 (Alexander D’Souza):
A crucial meeting of the district committee was held today at the local Pensioners’ Bhawan to strictly implement the action plan formulated during the state-level convention of the Punjab Employees and Pensioners Joint Front in Faridkot district. Presided over by pensioner leader Inderjit Singh Kheeva, the meeting strongly condemned the Bhagwant Mann government’s anti-employee and anti-pensioner policies and sounded the bugle for a decisive battle against the government.
Strong condemnation of police atrocities against unemployed linemen:
Addressing the meeting, pensioner leader Prem Chawla, employee leaders Jatinder Kumar, Navpreet Singh, Narinder Singh (TSU), Simarjit Singh Brar, Sukhmander Singh Gill (PRTC), Class-4 employee leader Balkar Singh Sahota, and pensioner leader Kulwant Singh Chani adopted a stern stance.
The leaders stated that the indiscriminate atrocities recently inflicted by the Punjab Police upon unemployed linemen in Patiala—at the behest of the Chief Minister—have broken all records of cruelty. Targeting the ruling party, they remarked that the conscience of none of the government’s 95 ‘mute wrestlers’ (silent legislators) was stirred. The people of Punjab will teach a harsh lesson to these leaders with dormant consciences in the upcoming assembly elections. Government Exposed by Report Filed in High Court
Employee leaders alleged that the report filed in the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court—bearing the signatures of Punjab Cabinet Sub-Committee members Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, and Dr. Baljit Kaur regarding the Dearness Allowance (DA) issue—has completely exposed the Bhagwant Mann government’s anti-employee and anti-pensioner stance before the public.
Upcoming Agitation Schedule:
A roadmap for a major agitation was unanimously prepared during the meeting, under which the following steps will be taken:
June 19 (Friday): A stern warning letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Punjab will be submitted through the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Faridkot at exactly 10:00 AM.
June 20 (Saturday): A massive district-level convention will be held at Mahatma Gandhi Senior Secondary School, Faridkot, at 10:00 AM. During this convention, official dates will be announced for protests (‘Ghare Bhan Mujahra’) to be held outside the residences of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.
Key Leaders Present at the Meeting:
Prominent leaders from various organizations participated in this crucial meeting, including Som Nath Arora, Jagtar Singh Gill, Master Makkhan Singh, Dr. Navtej Singh, Bishan Kumar Arora, Pradeep Singh Brar, Gurinder Singh Mani, Sant Singh (Head Teacher), Inderjit Singh Gill, Gurcharan Singh Mann, Karamjit Singh Bedi, Manmohan Singh, Darshan Singh, and Ajit Singh Khalsa.
