District-Level Convention by CPI (Faridkot) on May 31: Deliberations on Pressing Issues Facing the Nation and Punjab… 


Faridkot, May 25 (Alexander D’Souza):
The Communist Party of India (CPI), District Faridkot, is organizing a grand district-level convention on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at exactly 10:30 AM at the ‘Shaheed Comrade Amolak Singh Aulakh Bhawan’ in Faridkot. This convention will feature serious deliberations on the current pressing issues facing both Punjab and the nation.
To finalize the preparations for the convention, a crucial meeting was held today at the local Shaheed Comrade Amolak Singh Bhawan, presided over by District Executive Secretary Comrade Prem Chawla.
The Convention Will Focus on These Key Issues:
Addressing the meeting, District Secretary Comrade Prem Chawla stated that during the convention, the following critical issues—which are the need of the hour and directly concern the public—will be raised with prominence:
Protection of Punjab’s Water: Safeguarding the state’s water resources.
Guarantee of Employment: Eradicating unemployment and ensuring permanent employment opportunities for the youth.
Drug-Free Punjab: Completely dismantling the drug networks that are destroying the state’s youth.
Old Pension Scheme (OPS): Supporting the long-standing demand of government employees for the restoration of the OPS.
Federal Structure: Further strengthening the federal framework of the country.
Key Speakers: To share the party’s policy on these critical issues and outline the roadmap for future struggles, CPI State Secretary Comrade Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal and National Council Member (and former MLA) Comrade Hardev Arshi will attend the event specifically to address the convention. Preparations Complete; Responsibilities Assigned to Various Sections: Senior party leaders present at the meeting—Comrade Gurcharan Singh Mann, Sukhjinder Singh Tumbarbhan, Veer Singh Kamiana, Gora Pipli, Harpal Singh Machaki, Inderjit Singh Gill, Balkar Singh Sahota, Charanjit Singh Chameli, Gurnam Singh Mani Singh Wala, Jagtar Singh (former Sarpanch), Sukhmander Singh Dhudi, Natha Singh Araiyan Wala Kalan, and Sundar Singh Bhana—stated that all preparations for the convention have been finalized.
To ensure the success of this historic convention, specific responsibilities (quotas) have been assigned to various sections, including NREGA workers, agricultural laborers, farmers, pensioners, youth, and students. All necessary arrangements have been completed, and the leaders have issued a strong appeal to the justice-loving general public to participate enthusiastically in this convention.
