Faridkot, May 30 (Alexander D’Souza): The Communist Party of India (CPI) is organizing a significant district-level convention tomorrow-Sunday, May 31, 2026-at precisely 10:30 AM at the local ‘Shaheed Comrade Amolak Singh Aulakh Bhawan’ to address burning issues facing the country and the state of Punjab. Held under a special action program devised by the party, this convention will feature in-depth discussions on critical issues such as the protection of Punjab’s water resources, the persistently rising inflation across the nation, and unemployment.
Strategy to be Formulated in the Presence of Stalwarts
Providing details regarding the preparations and significance of this convention, the party’s District Executive Secretary Prem Chawla—along with other senior leaders including Gurcharan Singh Mann, Gurnam Singh Mani Singh Wala, Sukhjinder Singh Tumbarbhan, and Veer Singh Kamiana—announced that Comrade Bant Singh Brar (a National Council Member and former State Secretary) and former MLA Comrade Hardev Arshi are arriving in Faridkot specifically to address this gathering.
Protest to Resound in Markets; Veteran Leaders to be Honored
Party leaders stated that the primary objective of this convention is to expose the anti-people policies of both the Central and State governments.
Protest March: Following the conclusion of the convention, a massive protest march will be organized through the main markets of Faridkot city to demonstrate against the governments.
Special Honor: On this occasion, the family of the party’s late veteran and dedicated leader, Comrade Sumitra Singh Brar (a resident of village Lande), will be specially honored by the organization. Appeal by Leaders:
