My Bharat Budget Quest: Gurleen Kaur of Faridkot Waves the Flag of Success at the National Level

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Students of Baba Farid Law College, Faridkot, have once again brought glory to their institution at the national level. In the ‘My Bharat Budget Quest Youth Dialogue 2026’-organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India-Gurleen Kaur, a B.A. LL.B. (Part-II) student at the college, achieved remarkable success, successfully navigating her way to the final stage of the competition.
A Rigorous Three-Stage Examination:
College Principal Dr. Pankaj Kumar Garg explained that this competition was extremely challenging:
Stage 1: An online quiz was conducted on February 13, 2026.
Stage 2: An Essay Writing competition was held, in which Gurleen secured a place among the top students nationwide by writing an outstanding essay on the topic of ‘Human Capital.’
Final Stage: Gurleen participated in the final stage, which was held on April 12–13 at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Interaction with the Prime Minister and an Impressive Score:
During the final stage, participating students selected from across the country held a virtual meeting with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya was also specially present on this occasion. In the final round of the budget-based quiz, Gurleen proved her mettle by securing 28 out of a possible 30 marks. The two-day program also featured various activities designed to foster the holistic development of the students.
