Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): The Faridkot Police appears to be in full ‘action mode’ to ensure robust peace, tranquility, and law and order within the district. Acting under the directives of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain (IPS), an intensive checking drive (Special Checking Operation) was conducted today across various railway stations in the district, creating a stir among mischievous elements.
Dog Squad and Anti-Sabotage Teams Scour Every Nook and Cranny
To fortify security arrangements, the police’s Anti-Sabotage Team and Dog Squad meticulously searched every corner of the railway stations. During the inspection, special attention was focused on the following aspects:
Intensive Search: Checkpoints (Nakas) were established at the station’s entry and exit gates, and every person entering or leaving was screened.
GRP Cooperation: In collaboration with the Government Railway Police (GRP), passengers’ luggage and identity documents were thoroughly scrutinized.
Vigilance on Suspects: Individuals found loitering within the station premises without any valid reason were questioned, and their activities were recorded.
Digital Strike: Parking Checks via the ‘Vahan App’
A key highlight of this operation was the police’s utilization of digital technology. To ensure the security of vehicles parked in the designated areas:
Vehicle registration numbers and owners’ documents were cross-verified online, on the spot, using the ‘Vahan App’.
Data was meticulously analyzed to identify stolen vehicles or suspicious vehicles potentially involved in illicit activities.
