
Gurbani Resounds at Faridkot Police Lines-On Baisakhi,
-SSP Dr. Pragya Jain Delivers a Message of ‘Service and Brotherhood’
Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): On the auspicious occasion of the holy festival of Baisakhi, the *Bhog* (conclusion ceremony) of the *Sehaj Path Sahib* (continuous reading of the Guru Granth Sahib) was performed today at the Gurdwara Sahib situated within the Police Lines. Faridkot SSP Dr. Pragya Jain graced this religious congregation with her special presence. Accompanied by various senior police officials of the district, representatives of social service organizations, and a large gathering of devotees (*Sangat*), she paid her obeisance at the feet of the Guru.
Congregation Enraptured by Kirtan:
During the program, a Kirtani Jatha (group of devotional singers) mesmerized the assembled congregation with their melodious voices and divine hymns. The devotees listened to the Kirtan with immense reverence and deep concentration. On this spiritual occasion, the Gurdwara management also honored SSP Dr. Pragya Jain and other gazetted officers by presenting them with a Siropa (robe of honor).
Inspiration to Walk the Path of Truth and Humanity:
Addressing the congregation, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain extended her heartfelt greetings on the festival of Baisakhi. Highlighting the significance of this day, she stated that the holy day of Baisakhi illuminates the path of service, dedication, unity, and brotherhood. This festival inspires us to dedicate ourselves to the welfare of humanity while walking the path of truth and justice. She further reiterated that the Faridkot Police remains fully committed to ensuring public safety and maintaining peace. She added that such religious gatherings serve to further strengthen the foundations of mutual love and harmony within society.
Partaking in the Atut Langar While Seated in Pangat:
Following the conclusion of the Sehaj Path, the Guru’s Atut Langar (continuous community kitchen) was served. A noteworthy highlight of the event was that everyone-from the SSP and other high-ranking district officials to the general public-sat together in a single pangat (row) and partook in the Langar with deep reverence. Officers-in-charge of various police stations and outposts across the district were also present on this occasion.
