Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): A grand voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the local Civil Hospital, Faridkot, to mark World Blood Donor Day and the auspicious 650th birth anniversary (Prakash Parv) of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. The camp was conducted under the able leadership and supervision of Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajan Singla, SMO Dr. Puneet Kajal, and BTO Dr. Supreet Kaur. The ‘Mahakal Swarg Dham Seva Society (Regd.) Faridkot’ and ‘Sri Guru Ravidas Society (Regd.) Faridkot’ provided significant and commendable support for this noble cause.
Dr. Golewala’s 105th Blood Donation: The Main Highlight
The highlight of the camp was Dr. Baljit Sharma Golewala, President of the Mahakal Swarg Dham Seva Society, who set a new example of humanity by donating blood for a record 105th time. His spirit serves as a major source of inspiration, raising awareness about blood donation among today’s youth. During the camp, more than 30 voluntary donors enthusiastically donated blood to save precious human lives. All donors were honored with medals and certificates by the Health Department and the organizing societies.

The dedicated staff of the blood bank worked tirelessly to ensure the camp ran smoothly and successfully. Staff members who performed their duties with utmost sincerity included: Rajesh Kumar Mittal, Hari Singh, Jaspreet Kaur, Karamjit Kaur (all MLT Grade-1), Rohit (MLT Grade-2), and computer operators Gurmandeep Singh and Gagandeep Kaur. Their excellent coordination ensured the smooth conclusion of the entire camp.

At the conclusion of the camp, Manjit Kumar (President, Shri Guru Ravidas Society), Jagdish Bharti (Chairman, Shri Guru Ravidas Society), and Ashok Bhatnagar (Chairman, Mahakal Swarg Dham Seva Society) jointly expressed their gratitude to all blood donors and medical staff. In their message, they stated that blood donation is the greatest and most sacred form of charity in the world.
