An Example of Secularism: Over 150 People Examined at Maha Kal Swarg Dham Seva Society’s Free Medical Camp…

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): A large-scale free camp for blood sugar and blood pressure check-ups, as well as health awareness, was organized at the local Qila Mubarak Chowk by the Maha Kal Swarg Dham Seva Society (Registered), Faridkot—an organization dedicated to serving humanity. Held under the able leadership of Society President Dr. Baljit Sharma Golewala and Chairman Ashok Bhatnagar, the camp facilitated health check-ups for more than 150 individuals. During the event, patients were educated on disease prevention, and the organization distributed free medicines to the needy.
A Unique Example of Communal Harmony and Secularism:
This camp emerged as a powerful symbol of mutual understanding and secularism within society. Embodying the noble teaching that “all of humanity is one,” the camp was inaugurated jointly by representatives of three major religions. The inaugurators included:

Pandit Gagan Mishra (Priest, Shri Hanuman Mandir)
Captain Dharam Singh (Chief Sewadar, Gurudwara Sahib Langar Mata Khivi)
Together, they cut the ribbon and conveyed a message of national unity and integrity to society.
Services Provided by a Team of Expert Doctors:
During the camp, Medical Officer Dr. Diamond Sharma, along with Kapil Sen and his colleagues—representing the team of Dr. Arun Puri (founder of ‘Sukhmani Laboratory’, Faridkot)—conducted thorough examinations of the patients. While offering health tips to the attendees, the doctors advised them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and remain vigilant against diseases. “This camp is not only aimed at looking after people’s health but also conveys a message to society about fulfilling its social responsibilities”: Harjinder Singh (Senior Vice President & Retired DSP) and Inderjit Singh Brar (Press Secretary).
Special support from philanthropists and society members:
Many benevolent citizens of the city made valuable contributions to this noble cause:
‘Garg Pharma’, Faridkot: Provided free medicines for patients.
Deepak Verma: Donated blood pressure monitoring machines.
Dr. Purushottam Gupta: Provided financial assistance for the *Langar* (community kitchen) service.
