Major Success for Faridkot Police: 5 Dangerous Criminals Planning a Robbery Arrested…
Faridkot/ Kotkapura, May 11 (Alexander D’Souza): Foiling a major criminal conspiracy, the Faridkot Police have arrested five members of an inter-district gang red-handed. These accused individuals were plotting to rob passersby at knifepoint.
Operation Details:
This operation was executed under the directives of SSP Faridkot, Dr. Pragya Jain (IPS), and the guidance of SP (Investigation), Jogeshwar Singh Goraya.
Team Leadership: DSP Kotkapura, Sanjeev Kumar, and Inspector Chamkaur Singh (SHO, City Kotkapura).
Action Taken: ASI Bhupinder Singh received a tip-off that some suspicious individuals were hiding near the Jaito Road Bypass Link Road. Acting swiftly, the police conducted a raid, cordoned off the area, and apprehended all five individuals.
Profiles of the Arrested Accused:
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Sipu, Bhinder Singh, Amandeep Singh alias Kaka, Akash alias Gill, and Karandeep Singh alias Kullu. All of them are residents of various localities within Kotkapura.
Recoveries: The police recovered iron pipes, a Kirpan, a *Daat* (sickle-like weapon), a *Khanda* (double-edged sword), and a wooden baseball bat from the scene.
Criminal History: The accused are professional criminals. There are already 8 cases registered against them involving drug trafficking (under the NDPS Act) and other serious offenses.
Legal Action:
The police have registered a case against the accused under Sections 310(4) and 310(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
