Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): Dr. Rajesh Mohan—an eminent figure in the realms of literature, music, and education-has successfully completed one year as the Principal of the ‘Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education.’ The college staff and students celebrated this milestone with immense enthusiasm through a special event titled ‘Jashn-e-Mubarak’ (Celebration of Joy).
A Discussion on a Multifaceted Personality and Development:
Held at the college’s Baba Farid Ji Multipurpose Hall, the ceremony saw Dr. Mohan’s administrative and artistic prowess receive widespread acclaim.
The Benefit of Experience: Press Secretary Prof. Birinderjit Singh noted that Dr. Mohan has not only capably managed the responsibilities of this institution but has also admirably fulfilled his duties at Government Brijindra College (Faridkot), Shaheed Bhagat Singh Government College (Kotkapura), and Government College for Girls (Jalalabad).
Inspirational Leadership: Highlighting Dr. Mohan’s work ethic, Prof. Ranjit Singh Bajwa remarked that it is a matter of great pride for the institution to be led by such an artistic and scholarly personality.
A Cultural Evening: A Stage Adorned with Folk Songs and Qawwali:
The event witnessed a unique blend of music and literature. Students from ‘Sur-Angan’ and Brijindra College captivated the audience with their performances:
Gagandeep Kaur presented the renowned folk song ‘Mora.’
Karandeep moved everyone deeply by singing Kuldeep Manak’s timeless classic, ‘Main Chadar Kaddi.’
Jaspinder Kaur’s Qawwali rendition of ‘Tu Mane Ya Na Mane Dildara’ had the entire hall swaying to the rhythm.
Muskan and her team made the event truly memorable by presenting a magnificent bouquet of Punjabi folk songs.
The Principal’s Address: “I Credit My Success to the Team”:
During his address, Dr. Rajesh Mohan appeared visibly moved. He attributed the entire credit for the success of this one-year journey to his hardworking staff and talented students. He reiterated his resolve that his priority would always remain to provide better facilities to the students-through both government and non-governmental support-so that they may carve out a distinct identity for themselves in the field of education.
