Faridkot (June 16): Advancing the Punjab government’s initiative-led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-to strengthen infrastructure in both urban and rural areas, a significant development boost was announced for Faridkot today. MLA S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon and Improvement Trust Chairman Sh. Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal jointly laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth ₹67.91 lakh in the Giani Zail Singh Avenue colony. The launch of this ambitious project will fulfill the long-standing demands of the colony’s residents, providing them with improved transportation, excellent lighting, and a greener environment.

Addressing the large gathering present, MLA S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon stated that the work regarding parking, road repairs, and street lighting in Giani Zail Singh Avenue would be completed as soon as possible. Roads that had developed potholes due to the flawed policies and poor sewage systems of previous governments are now being repaired.
