Solving a sensational ‘blind murder’ case in Pipli village within mere hours, the police arrested a woman and her father who were involved in the crime. This swift action was executed under the guidance of Sh. Jogeshwar Singh Goraya (SP Investigation) and Sh. Tarlochan Singh (DSP Sub-Division, Faridkot).

In statements given to the police, the deceased’s father, Harnek Singh (a resident of Madai), revealed that his elder son, Arshdeep Singh, had previously informed him that a woman named Harpreet Kaur was constantly pressuring him to communicate and engage in an illicit relationship. Harpreet Kaur is the daughter of Chamkaur Singh from Pipli village and is married in Machaki Kalan village. Arshdeep was deeply frightened by this pressure and was consistently trying to distance himself from the woman.
When Arshdeep Singh suddenly went missing from home yesterday, his family began searching for him. Acting on suspicion, his father Harnek Singh—accompanied by some prominent village leaders—went to Pipli village, where the scene that greeted them left everyone horrified. Arshdeep Singh’s hands, feet, and mouth were bound, and he had been brutally murdered with blows from an axe. Murder Premeditated; Father-Daughter Duo Arrested:
Initial police questioning and investigation have revealed that the accused woman, Harpreet Kaur, summoned Arshdeep Singh to village Pipli as part of a premeditated conspiracy, where the fatal incident was carried out.
Acting swiftly, the police have apprehended both named accused in the case. The arrested individuals have been identified as follows:
Harpreet Kaur (Wife of Simarjit Singh, resident of Machaki Kalan)
Chamkaur Singh alias Kaur Singh (Son of Makkhan Singh, resident of village Pipli – the woman’s father)

A case regarding this heinous crime was registered at the Sadar Police Station, Faridkot, on July 5, 2026, under Sections 103 (Murder), 61(2) (Criminal Conspiracy), and 3(5) (Common Intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
