In these results, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as the single largest party. The fate of 105 candidates—sealed in ballot boxes on May 26-was decided today following the vote counting held at Government Brajindra College. Congress (INC): 8 seats,
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD): 7 seats. Turning Point: Independent candidate Sukhmander Singh Pappu (Kala Bhau)—who was elected unanimously (without any opposition) from Ward No. 20-joined the Aam Aadmi Party following the election results; this pushed AAP’s tally to 10 seats, significantly strengthening its position.
Counting Conducted Under Tight Security: To ensure a transparent and secure vote-counting process, the administration set up 14 tables, and the entire procedure was completed in a total of five rounds.
