Newly Appointed DC Rahul Chaba Accorded Grand Welcome by Lord Buddha Charitable Trust

Faridkot, May 12 (Alexander D’Souza): Faridkot’s newly appointed Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Chaba (IAS), assumed charge of his office today. On this occasion, a high-level delegation from the renowned non-governmental social service organization, the Lord Buddha Charitable Trust (LBCT), paid him a courtesy visit at his office.
Led by the Trust’s founder, Jagdish Rai Dhosiwal, and jointly presided over by District President D.P.S. Bhola, the delegation warmly welcomed the DC by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers and extended their best wishes for a successful tenure.
A Pledge of Service Without Government Aid:
During the meeting, Mr. Dhosiwal introduced the Deputy Commissioner to the members of the district unit’s new executive committee. He proudly informed him that all public welfare activities undertaken by the Trust are sustained entirely through the support of its members and donors. He clarified that, to date, the organization has never accepted any government assistance.
The primary objective of the Trust is to serve the general public with a spirit of selflessness.
Cooperation Between Administration and Public is Essential:
During this cordial meeting, which lasted for approximately 20 minutes, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba lauded the activities of the Trust. He remarked that social service organizations act as a bridge-or a vital link-between the administration and the public in ensuring that government schemes reach the grassroots level.
Describing it as his good fortune to have the opportunity to serve on the sacred land of Baba Sheikh Farid Ji, Mr. Chaba made a special appeal to the people of the district:
Support the administration in the fight against drug abuse and social evils.
Cooperate in the eradication of illegal activities.
For any genuine grievance, members of the public are welcome to meet him during office hours without any hesitation.
