Faridkot/Jaito, April 2 (Alexander D’Souza): The administration has swung into full gear regarding the preparations for Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann’s anticipated arrival and rally at the Jaito Grain Market. In this regard, Jaito MLA S. Amolak Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur, and SSP Ms. Pragya Jain held an important meeting today with officials from all departments at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office to conduct a detailed review of the arrangements.
Ensure No Lapses in Arrangements: Deputy Commissioner
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Poonamdeep Kaur issued clear directives to the various departments, emphasizing that all responsibilities related to the event must be completed in a timely manner. She issued specific instructions regarding:
Traffic and Security: To prepare a route plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and adequate security arrangements.
Basic Amenities: To ensure the availability of clean drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, proper sanitation, and healthcare facilities (including ambulances and medical teams). She warned that no negligence in the discharge of duties would be tolerated. SSP Ms. Pragya Jain outlined the strategy regarding the security cordon and police deployment.
Chief Minister to Make Major Announcements: Amolak Singh
MLA S. Amolak Singh stated that there is immense enthusiasm among the local residents regarding the Chief Minister’s visit. He asserted that S. Bhagwant Singh Mann would announce major development projects for the Jaito constituency during this visit. He added that the ‘AAP’ government is fully committed to the holistic development of the constituency.
Visit to the Grain Market:
Following the meeting, the MLA and administrative officials visited the Jaito Grain Market (the venue for the event). He inspected the designated sites for the pandal, stage, and parking, and issued orders to the officials present on the spot to immediately implement necessary improvements.
