A crucial and special meeting of writers from the Progressive Writers Association Punjab (Registered), Faridkot district unit, was held at the local Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School. The meeting was presided over by Senior Vice President Sartaj Singh Dhillon. During the session, there was a detailed discussion regarding the roadmap for future literary activities to be undertaken by the Faridkot unit.
Decision on ‘Sawan Kavi Darbar’ and Book Launches
Sharing details of the upcoming plans, the Association’s General Secretary, Preet Bhagwan, stated that several major decisions were taken with the mutual consent of all office-bearers:
Punjab-level ‘Sawan Kavi Darbar’: The Association will organize a large-scale state-level ‘Sawan Kavi Darbar’ (monsoon-themed poetry symposium) in the coming months.
Books Dedicated to the Public: A special program has been outlined to present (launch) new books authored by various writers to the reading public.
Gathering Enlivened by Literary Recitations
This literary gathering was not merely about planning for the future; it also featured a vibrant session of creative recitations. Writers and poets present at the meeting shared exceptional progressive writings and poems, immersing the entire atmosphere in a rich literary spirit.

A large number of Association office-bearers and members were present on this special occasion, including Advisor Principal Kumar Jagdev Singh Brar, Kulwinder Virk, Press Secretary Prof. Bir Inder, Finance Secretary Tejinderpal Kaur Mann, Hardeep Sirazi, and Veerpal Kaur.
