Faridkot, June 12 (Alexander D’Souza): Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria is visiting Faridkot on June 15. During this special visit, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Skill Development Center at the Red Cross Building. Subsequently, the Governor will address a special gathering of the district’s prominent citizens and the general public at the Cultural Center’s auditorium.
In view of this significant event, Faridkot Deputy Commissioner Shri Rahul Chaba held a high-level meeting today with senior officials from various departments to meticulously review the preparations.
A major initiative to make youth self-reliant:
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shri Rahul Chaba informed that this new Skill Development Center would be operated in collaboration with the ‘Sun Foundation’.
Free Training: Youth from the area will receive completely free training in seven different types of technical and professional skills at this center.
Employment Opportunities: Special efforts will be made to secure better job and employment opportunities for the youth after the completion of their training, enabling them to become self-reliant.
The Deputy Commissioner has issued strict instructions to officials from all departments to ensure that all arrangements related to the Governor’s visit are completed on time and that all departments work in coordination with one another.
Boosting the morale of hockey players:
Shri Rahul Chaba further stated that after the main event concludes, Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria will also visit the Government Brijindra College. There, he will meet young players practicing at the Astroturf hockey ground and boost their morale. The following senior officials were present at the meeting:
