Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): With the aim of motivating as many young people as possible to join the Army, the District Employment and Business Bureau, Faridkot, organized a recruitment awareness seminar and vocational conference. Providing further details on the matter, Colonel Sri Nihal Singh, ARO, stated that young aspirants from the districts of Faridkot, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Muktsar, and Moga who wish to join the ‘Agniveer’ Army can register online at http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. He outlined the eligibility criteria, noting that candidates must be between 17½ and 21 years of age; possess an unexpanded chest measurement of 77 cm (expanding to 82 cm); and stand at a height of 5 feet 7 inches. Furthermore, candidates must have passed at least the 10th grade with a minimum of 45% marks, or have completed their 10+2 education. Additionally, Mr. Gurtej Singh, District Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Officer, informed that unemployed candidates from the Faridkot district can visit the office of the District Employment and Business Bureau—located on the first floor of the Red Cross Bhawan (near Sandhu Palace, Talwandi Bypass), Faridkot—on any working day to register their names. They can also register themselves on the Punjab Government portal (http://www.pgrkam.com), via WhatsApp groups, and on various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to ensure they receive timely updates regarding employment camps, self-employment opportunities, and skill development courses.
