‘Birha Tu Sultan’ Program Organized at Government College of Education on Shiv Batalvi’s 53rd Death Anniversary…

Faridkot (Alexander D’Souza): A special tribute program titled ‘Birha Tu Sultan’ was organized at the Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, to mark the 53rd death anniversary of the great Punjabi poet, Shiv Kumar Batalvi. The event was successfully conducted under the supervision of Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan, through the joint collaboration of the college’s Language Forum and Art and Craft Club.
15th Issue of Wall Magazine ‘Sunheri Kalman’ Released:
The Chief Guest of this dignified ceremony—renowned poet, thinker, and educationist Dr. Devinder Saifi—released the 15th issue of the wall magazine ‘Sunheri Kalman,’ which was prepared by the students. On this occasion, he was accompanied by the distinguished guest, eminent scholar Dr. Nirmal Kaushik.
Appreciation of Literary Endeavors:
Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan congratulated the patron of the Language Forum, Prof. Birinderjit Singh; the In-charge, Prof. Rajeshwari Devi; and their entire team for this literary initiative. In his address, he stated that such events play a pivotal role in connecting students with their rich literary heritage and roots.
Showcasing Student Creativity:
The magazine’s editor, Prof. Birinderjit Singh, explained that in this issue, students have beautifully showcased their original poems, songs, literary articles, stories, and artistic posters/paintings dedicated to Shiv Batalvi. Dr. Devinder Saifi praised the works of the student writers and encouraged them to continue their creative endeavors in the future.
Distinguished Presence:
The college staff and students participated enthusiastically in the program. Prominent among those present on this occasion were: Professors Manwinder Kaur, Jasbir Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur, Ranjit Singh Bajwa, Dr. Rupinderjit Kaur, Sukhpal Kaur, Phani Chawla, Dr. Ratan Lal, and Prof. Rimmi. Student Representatives: A large number of students were present, including Student President Jaswinder Kaur and Isha Rani.
