CM Arriving to Express Gratitude to ‘Akal Purakh’ for Strict Laws Enacted to Prevent Sacrilege: MLA Sekhon 

Faridkot, May 6 (Alexander D’Souza): Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is arriving in Faridkot to offer his gratitude to ‘Akal Purakh’ (the Almighty) following the enactment of strict laws designed to prevent unfortunate incidents such as the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. As part of the ‘Shukrana Yatra’ (Journey of Gratitude) being organized to mark this occasion, the Chief Minister will be present amidst the congregation (Sangat) of Faridkot tomorrow, May 7.
Sharing detailed information regarding this event, Faridkot MLA S. Gurditt Singh Sekhon stated that the Chief Minister will arrive at the local Fuhara Chowk (Jhanda Chowk) tomorrow at 3:30 PM and will meet with the large congregation gathered there.

Time and Venue: May 7 (Tomorrow), 3:30 PM, Fuhara Chowk (Jhanda Chowk), Faridkot.
Main Objective: To offer gratitude to the Almighty (Akal Purakh) for the enactment of strict anti-sacrilege laws.

MLA Sekhon Appeals to the Sangat to Attend:
MLA Gurditt Singh Sekhon stated that the legal measures taken by the state government to prevent the sacrilege of the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are highly commendable and historic. In this context, the ‘Shukrana Yatra’ is being organized to express gratitude to the Almighty.
“I appeal to all residents of the district and the entire congregation to gather in large numbers on this historic and sacred occasion, become a part of the Shukrana Yatra, and listen to the Chief Minister’s address,” said S. Gurditt Singh Sekhon, MLA, Faridkot.
In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, the local administration remains on high alert. Preparations for all necessary arrangements—ranging from security measures to ensuring the convenience of the congregation—are being completed on a war footing.
